Reading books

Reading activity days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, although, whenever possible, less confident readers will be given daily opportunity to read.

Change over days will be different for each reading team to allow a thorough introduction of the new book.

Illustrators (currently reading ‘The New House’) – Monday

Authors (currently reading ‘Underground Adventure’) – Tuesday

Publishers (currently reading ‘Roman Adventure’) – Tuesday

Editors (currently reading ‘The Boss Dog of Blossom Street’) – Thursday

Proof readers (currently reading ‘The Goalie’s Secret’) – Every second Thursday

It’s really helpful if children bring their reading book to school every day as we may need to swap books between children if there are not enough copies to go round.

As of tomorrow each child will also have a card marker on which they will record their reading for the week.
